Albertsons is pretty simple.
DOUBLES
About every 1-1/2 to 2 weeks Albertsons prints doubles that will work for a limited time frame. Usually doubles are available in the Sunday Oregonian as a loose, single page, glossy ad (typically folded in half) and will be dated toward the end of the sale (Sunday-Tuesday). Occasionally, Albertsons will print doubles in their weekly ads found in the This Week and they will go from Wednesday to Saturday.
Doubles at Albertsons state "Twice the Value" and will match any manufacturer coupon up to $1. They will not exceed the value of the coupon OR THE VALUE OF THE PRODUCT. It also states that the double will not work on coupons valued OVER $1. Some cashiers will double DND coupons and other cashiers won't.
Example #1-
Snickers Candy bar $1 for 2
$.60/2 mf coupon
.40 double (to not exceed the product price of $1)
=Free
Example #2-
Barilla Pasta $2
$1.50/1 mf coupon
Will not double due to coupon exceeding $1
=.50 each
Example #3-
Yoplait yogurt $5 for 10 (must buy 10)
.60 off 6 mf coupon
.60 double (will not exceed value of coupon)
=$3.80 for 10
SPECIALS & PROMOTIONS
Albertsons currently does not use any electronic coupon options. However, they often run promotions similar to Safeway's and they often go hand-in-hand with current Catalina promotions.
For example, 3/10-3/16/2010 Albertsons ran a promotion that looked like this:

Catalina deal on right now. Buy 5 or more and get a $3.50 catalina coupon to use toward your next order.
Buy 5
Use (2) .50/2 from mf coupon
Use 2 doubles (-1.00)
Pay $3 and receive a $3.50 catalina
Final Price= FREE + .50 moneymaker after coupons, doubles, and catalina
